Response of Hardy Ferns to Drought Stress

چکیده

Drought-tolerant perennials are intensively sought-after plants for decorative purposes. Perennial ferns cold-hardy cultivars that great shady to partially shaded areas of the garden, but their response drought stress is unknown. In this study, we examined how reduced watering altered growth Athyrium niponicum ‘Red Beauty’, Cyrtomium fortunei ‘Clivicola’, Dryopteris atrata, erythrosora, Dryoperis filix-mas, filix-mas ‘Linearis Polydactylon’, and Polystichum setiferum ‘Proliferum’ in comparison with optimal conditions. From among seven fern taxa, Beauty’ turned out be most sensitive watering, they demonstrated leaf browning drying. Little visual damage was observed ‘Proliferum’.

Evaluation of Morphophysiological Response of Teucrium polium L. to Drought Stress

Among the environmental barriers to plant growth and yield, drought, an icon of arid and semi-arid regions is the most important factor in reducing production. Teucrium polium L. is one of the most important medicinal plants of the family Lamiaceae that exists in these areas. In order to study the effect of drought stress on some physiological and morphological traits of Teucrium polium L., an ...

Response of some vegetative and physiological traits of Iranian and foreign grape cultivars to drought stress

Drought stress, as the most important environmental stress, severely disrupts plant growth and limits production and yield more than any other environmental factor. Investigation of the role of drought stress conditions on plant morphological, physiological and photosynthesis characteristics may provide a tool to understand the basic drought resistance. To investigate the drought tolerance of I...
